Mohammad Shami lashed out at Inzamam-ul-Haq on the allegations of ball tampering, said – “Pakistanis were never happy with us and will never be, if your bowlers do reverse swing then that is skill, if we do it then it is ball tampering”
Recently, Inzamam-ul-Haq had accused Indian bowlers of ball tampering. Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami reacted sharply to this. He said, “Pakistanis were never happy with us and will never be. Whenever our bowlers have performed well, they have always been wrongly targeted.” Shami clarified that when Pakistani bowlers do reverse swing, it is seen as a special skill, whereas when Indian bowlers do the same, it is called ball tampering. Shami said, “If your bowlers do reverse swing, it is a skill, if we do it, it is ball tampering. How long will these double standards continue?”
Shami said that the Indian team has always won matches with its hard work and skill and he does not believe in any kind of rigging. He said that questioning the ability and hard work of Indian bowlers is injustice to them. This controversy has once again heated up the issue of ball tampering and reverse swing in the cricket world. While on one hand Pakistani bowlers praise their technique, many people find it unfair to accuse Indian bowlers. Shami said that the Indian team is known for its honesty and sportsmanship and such allegations do not weaken them, but make them stronger. He clarified that Indian cricketers are dedicated to their game and they will not compromise their honor under any circumstances.
